SOULSTICE SANTA FE NEWS
Posted on January 15, 2010 with 0 commentsHello and welcome to the first installment of the Soulstice Santa Fe's blog.
The last two Soulstice gigs were brilliant! We did a holiday party gig for a very successful high tech company in Albuquerque - we played for almost 600 people and they danced and were a great crowd. Santa Fe Audio Visual did sound for us as it was such a big group and they did a wonderful job - thanks Skyler!
At the end of the gig the company CEO complimented us warmly and said he wanted us back next year -as soon as they fix the location we will sign the contract.
The next gig was a wedding at the La Terraza room in La Fonda hotel for about 150 people. Seldom have I seen such a good looking group - beautiful women and handsome men, the majority were in their mid 20's - they danced all night and it was a real riot! Everyone had a great time and we received so many compliments. One was from a Texas event planner who told us we were they best band she'd ever heard at an event and asked us if the band would travel to Texas - we said absolutely if the budget was there.
The next fun thing has been beginning to get some Soulstice Santa Fe videos on line - you can view them by clicking on Links on the Navigation bar, then on the Video Links listed.
Despite the economic woes we are getting bookings for 2010, so God bless all you brides and grooms and event planners who appreciate the impact of a great band and give us an opportunity to play music and create joy- one party at a time.
We are also finally working on getting a Soulstice album together of slower songs in answer to some requests.
And we have a new Facebook page for Soulstice Santa Fe - visit the page and become a fan of Soulstice and we will soon be able to get a Facebook link.
All best wishes to all our readers.
Remember, these are tough times for many people, try not to take the drama others may give you personally - you never know what hardships others may be going through.
